The Water Discovery Center is born out of the Molėtai environment itself – as if growing naturally out of the relief, extending the lines of the landscape and giving meaning to their flow. The building is perceived as part of the landscape, where its solid structure does not dominate, but naturally blends into the environment, resembling a form of nature extended by human hands. The life of water is revealed on three levels of the building. Visitors enter the building by passing through a waterfall, as if into a cave in a mountain. From the lobby, a ramp descends to a darker level deep underground. After exploring the basement, another ramp leads up a narrow corridor to the second level. A bright space with high ceilings, where they are greeted by a wave zone and other surface water elements. The enclosed rooms house a laboratory and therapeutic Ebru spaces. Beyond them, through the waterfall zone, visitors climb up into the space of atmospheric phenomena, as if into a mountain. 2nd place in the competition
